Attitude of local police towards the poor travellers have detoriated under the shelter of government
I was travelling from Haridwar to Howrah in local train. In a station between Asansole and Howrah.
There was routine check up by Khaki uniformed police.
Surprisingly I found that they were treating poor travellers badly. Who have given them the odasity to kick the poor travellers sleeping on floor.
Those uniformed personal should be imparted some Ethical mode to conduct there duty or should be advised to change their profession.
Government who are paying them for ther uniform must not be aware of their bostfullness.
It is surprisingly shameful if police have a tendency to create social aggitation before forthcoming independence day.
Their color of skin shows that they might not be from Bengal.
India needs to be cautious. more

What sort of an action is needed for ticket less and occupying reserved coaches by these travellers? They sleep on the floor as they do not have tickets. more

It is my observation that police in general anywhere in India are brutal more so in northern states including Bengal. This kind of attitude is borne out of the fact that India has large uneducated or anti-social population and most of the petty crime can only be resolved either justly or unjustly only by violence. Please note that I don't discriminate based on wealth or influence and in fact, many of them are anti-social too but they indulge in sophisticated crimes against the society. I have a feeling that madam Debolina Mukerjee is indulging in parochial politics. Security in the railway travel is looked after by GRP (Govt. Railway Police) and Asansol being too close to Howrah & the Railway Hq. will be at or around Kolkatta. Therefore, GRP team on the train is Bengal police and not of any other state. In any case, a state in which a police officer under investigation by CBI under a direction by Hon'ble SC, gets anarchic support from CM & her party, is not likely to have just police. more
