Auction of Sunny Deol's property
Was Bank of Baroda, auctioning any property for the first time to belatedly having realised that due process was not followed, and therefore cancelled the auction ? Or was it that some favour has now been shown to the debtor ? Favoured for what reasons ? This matter must be investigated at the finance ministry level. Banks cannot be allowed to have such a cavalier and lackadiasical approach when publishing auction notices for private properties. Truth of their action must be put in the public domain, as such actions defame the individual besides adversely affecting their credit ratings.
Defaulter be it big or small, must be named and shamed.Such defaulters are sucking the hard earned money (taxes) of tax payers.

Is it really a new surprise in this regime? why Bankers should be blamed all together? So many fraudsters fled the country looting public money, no serious action was initiated except routine work, we had perhaps forgotten the story now as our short lived memory never keep any such incidence for long. It's the leader who dictate terms everywhere and none can defy. That's the reality. The defaulter has a political linkage and a public representative. Such people can easily influence any decision. We must realise the present governance practice in various establishments.

Definitely a high level probe is required in the case of sunny.the person found guilty has to be punished.if there was an ordinary defaulter,he might be put behind the bars.irrespective of the dignity all defaulters must face equal action.

Apparently lack of responsibility and accountability is creeping in the banking system due poor supervision. This is not confined to only one bank or so but in leading light of the system as well. Recently I had received by my name & address a signed letter from a SBI branch manager with reference to an account number, say XYZ alleging that there was a requirement of KYC documents for the account number referred. The letter was hand delivered to me at my residence (just 2 Kms from the branch) after 20 days of its dispatch date. The same letter required compliance within 30 days of its dispatch. After opening the letter I realized that I had nothing to do with the account number XYZ and therefore thought of ignoring it. But, to my surprise and shock I found that there was a message on my mobile registered with the bank stating, “STOP has been placed on your Accxxxxxx2 (mine) for reason Other reason Part.-SBI”. This was enough to disturbed and puzzled me. I sent an e-mail to branch manager to know as to why I have been targeted and account stopped even before getting my response within a given time limit. Since there was no proper reply to my mail, I sent yet another e-mail to SBI customer care Centre “CONTACTCENTRE@SBI.CO.IN”. In the auto acknowledgement, the customer Centre has assured to respond within 48 hours that have expired many times more without a word.

SBI customer care response is bogus. As soon as a complaint is made, they simply forward it to the branch and send us a message that issue is resolved and complaint closed. I have experiened this number of times for the same matter even on followup..

surprising they are not geared up for such kind of activities and make a fool of themselves. All public sector banks should transfer their NPA to a separate org and then they will initiate the recovery process and whatever is recovered give it to the banks.

Yes, that's a brilliant idea.
