Availability and booking by type of berth
It is still not available on trains when booking online.
1. When booking, it does not give seat vacancy by berth type (how many upper berths available, how many middle etc).
2. It does not allow to select a particular berth, seat etc.
Only after paying the money, it shows the type of berth/seat. This is a harrowing experience especially when booking for sick or old people like my mother.
Once payment is done, it shows that she got a upper berth. How will she climb? What should we do now? She has to then plead with all around for a lower berth.
Why can't the booking screen show if the chosen type of berth is available or not, and allow to select if so ?
Why is railway booking still so primitive ? more
