Aviation : No fly list
Starting a no fly list for airlines is a welcome move. It is time we had unruly customers who endanger other passengers face the music.
Here are a few suggestions on how the current recommendations can be improved further :
- No flight should be delayed due to any person even an MLA or MP. It is ridiculous that paying customers are made to wait while some politician makes a grand entrance and that to on a free ticket.
- Customers who have their phones on despite repeated requests endanger the lives of all passengers. The phones mess with the navigation system and can lead to a crash.
- Standing up while the plane is moving / ther keep seat belt light is on and removing luggage from the overhead bin is also endangering customers to injury.
- Delaying the flight after check in should also be punishable.
- Repeat offenders should get life long bans. After 3 offenses no airline should fly them.
At the same time airline officials - especially Indian Airlines - should also be taken to task for being rude to customers
- If they see any celebrity or minister they leave paying customers and start following them around and carrying their luggage etc. Everyone carries their own luggage except for the old and infirm. This subservient behaviour needs to stop.
- They are rude to travellers especially those that come from small towns and villages who don't know the process.
- Delayed and cancelled flights should be compensated to customers with meals or hotel stay depending on the period of delay or a sum should be paid to the veterans fund by the airlines.
- Armed forces and veterans should be given discounted tickets, preferential treatment not the politicians.
- Over booking of seats / denying of seat should be compensated not only with the cost of the seat but also with a penalty charge for the inconvenience caused or a ticket in another flight with no additional cost. more

There is no VIP culture in this country. Hence, public may not be harassed for the sake MLA or MP or any other person for arrival. No wait should be considered for departure time at Airport and/or Railway Station. more

Its a good move. but there should also be the process to control the VIP like Mr. Gaikwad, MP. Under the pressure form the Shiv Sena he was allowed to fly. Had been it any common person/ passenger Govt lifted the Ban? And what about the rude behaviour by the Airline staff. Frame the laws for them as well. more
