AVOIDABLE TRAGEDY
The majority of Indians are deeply spiritual, with a wide array of religious beliefs. This diversity in belief is not inherently problematic; in fact, many people seek the grace of the Almighty for their health, wellbeing, and prosperity. Even though it is not possible to see or hear God directly, many respect religious preachers almost as much as they do the deity. These religious leaders are often regarded as divine or nearly divine figures.
When a religious gathering, or Satsang, is organized, people flock to the venue from nearby towns. Typically, an organizing committee, led by the religious leader, projects attendance numbers, selects the location, and seeks permission from the police, giving assurances and receiving instructions.
In the incident described in the attached clip, it appears that neither the organizers nor the district administration took these responsibilities seriously.
The value of human life should not be downgraded to such an extent that we frequently lose hundreds of lives in such events.

It is too difficult to tame religious/ baba of all faiths. People start making it a caste or religion related issue. In this case also people are openly saying that since this BHOLE BABA - Saakar Hari belongs to lower caste and followers are from lower castes, Govt. is taking action. No Govt of the day dares to act against religious preachers otherwise they will lose large number of votes. Even opposition parties are also keeping silent.

Sir when Babs and religious (all most all ) leaders become next to God or Avtar why not a politician claim to be so as he is also devoting his time to serve or stay above the common man.

Most of the fake religious leaders/preachers of all faiths try to keep important political leaders of the areas of their operation in good humour or have politicians' patronage to escape strong action against them.

So very true. Vice versa too.

This problem needs to be tackled at two level - 1. Creating awareness among the masses to be aware of fake babas. Genuine religous leaders should be roped in to educate people on what is the good way of practicing one's faith 2. Government should make concentrated drive to weed out fake babas in the same way they identified fake NGOs and taken action against them. These babas will have one or more criminal records in the past. Government should investigate these cases and expose the babas and put them behind the bars To all these happen, government should have will power to do this. Root cause of the problem lies here only. PS: When I say baba, it refers babas of all the religions. So, lets avoid being partisan on this serious issue.

This Baba survived, flourished, womaniser only with the active and generous support and blessings from shameless and born corrupt politicians and police. This is India. Who cares?
