When you visit a restaurant/eateries or small traders and they come up with bill, you pull up this link below on your phone and key in their GST number:
https://services.gst.gov.in/services/searchtp
50% chance that either the record may not show up (no GST registration) or they haven'n been filing GST returns.
In both cases you can either ask them to take GST off and save 5-18% or report them to GST authorities.
When many of us start doing this soon more will file GST and increase Govt collection. The savings/discount you get will be your reward for being aware consumer. Soon it wont be worth it for the business to evade taxes.
