Ayurveda products standards

Now many of us are using ayurveda products in daily life like shampoo tooth paste, oils etc.

Does BIS have any standards for this? Many of these we are just using hoping its better than foreign but for instance since we using them hair fall had accelerated.

If atleast some dept like ayush bis says this ingredient must not be used or ones that may be there is reference point.

Pls share your views and BIS Ayush respond if u have done some work.

Non response means nothing has been done

The increase of Ayurvedic medical shops is one thousand fold in the recent years .Us there no regulator to check k formulations , nutritional supplements , home remedies ,instant fixes for all diseases including tv advertisement .This is dangerous trend as with our proof every body is entering with some products. The drug industry needs supervision ,certification ,regulation with defined standards . Ayurveda is a Indian science but who holds this bull with its horns !
Ayush sets standards for ayurvedic and other (non allopathic) medicines. What you are referring to is Ayurvedic consumer products which are not medicines. These products fall under FSSAI guidelines. It is mandatory for these products to print FSSAI approval on the product and also the list of ingredients along with the quantity. If you will read the list of ingredients, you will find that most of these so called Ayurvedic products use lot of chemicals and the mentioned ayurvedic component is only a trace amount. Actually there is a minimal difference between Ayurvedic and non Ayurvedic branded products. This is true for all the major and minor brands (except medicines).
Ms Sneha, it may perhaps not be a bad idea for you to consult Mr Google and Ms Wikipedia before posting such queries on this platform. Most probably you'll get answers to your questions there itself.....Thanks !!
I say Zandu products and Himalaya products are very good. The companies are well established and their products are excellent.
Take/buy/use Ayurvedic products on prescription of an Ayurvedic Practitioner only.... Otherwise, purchase the ingredients and prepare ayurvedic items like shampoo toothpaste, oils etc. at one's own home.
