I have put on some weight in the last few years. I used to walk regularly before I started working with my new firm. I am kept very busy with work and hardly get any time for walking or exercising in the gym. I would like to lose some weight. I used to drink sugar-free Amla juice once daily, but, I stopped after sometime. Does Amla juice or honey help in reducing weight? Also, is there any Ayurvedic treatment to help reduce weight? I have become a bit diet conscious recently and do not intake much of fried or sweet foods. Looking forward to some useful advice. Thank you! more

Dear Mr. Suhail loosing weight does not mean first make your-self more than of ton weight & then expect to be a don by going to a Gym or on dieting. Keeping the desired weight means following certain principles which are essential for maintaining your body fit free from all types of diseases. The foremost thing you should keep in mind is the Dinner. This is the root cause of all the problems. When to take dinner, what to take in the dinner, when to sleep after dinner, whether milk, hot beverages or any cold thing to be taken after dinner are the questions which needs your attention. When you eat more during dinner, your stomach bloats & there is every chance of gastric problem which leads to health problem & increase in weight. Passing stool properly in the morning is also equally important. To give you the correct & authentic treatment I tell you my own example, which has given me a drop of 7 Kgs in weight & a fit body even after having Diabetes for more than 15 years & running age 67 years. I sleep for 6 hours. Early morning I take Lemon water Juice with Sugar Free 2 Tablets & a pinch of Black Salt. Then in breakfast 2 Parathas & three glasses of water & 2 Cups of Tea with Sugar Free Tablets. Never skip your Breakfast because it leads to all sorts of problems & makes you look for fast food or eating at street vendors. In the lunch always take Green Salad especially Cucumber, Carrot, Tomatoes & don't forget to take Curds. This combination works exceedingly well. Then take evening tea with/without some snacks. For dinner eat one chapati less than what you feel like full stomach. Keep Hajmola Imli Taste for the digestion of food. Never opt for Cold drinks, Chewing Paan, Icecreams, Paneer, More fried/Chinese food, Maida should be avoided as far as possible. Keep a tab on your change in the body weight or urge to eat more/less after changing your daily routine as mentioned above. Keep yourself fit by going for brisk walk for say 20-25 minutes. Do not eat Rice & Chapati together. You can eat either of that. Rice does not increase weight. It can be increased with Atta Chapattis also. Eat Methi, Bitter Gourd, Tinda, Beans as a routine. more

After every 50,60 minutes in office get up go for a brisk climb up and down the stairs for 10 minutes, see the greenery outside and you will feel relaxed too more
