should people of India also emulate AYUSH minister who chose not to depend on AYUSH based treatments, but evidence based medicine to counter COVID? more

The main problem is lack of transparency in the steps taken to control,cure and eradicate this pandemic.At least in ayush we have time tested immunity boosting medicines to avoid this disease. Still the central government is sponsoring allopathy and pharma industry only.The only state to officially put into practice siddha treatment for COVID -19 is Tamilnad more

The issue here is that many of our people follow all kinds of remedies, not because they have scientific provenance, but because they are ancient or some rishi, yogi or elder took it. But as AA Jose notes above right now there is no known allopathic treatment for Cov-19. So what is the wise course to follow if you have the virus? Checking with a competent physician working in a reputed medical institution would be the safest course. more

When even in allopathy there is no medicine yet to cure Covid 19, there is no reason as to why other alternative treatments like Ayurveda, Sidha, Unani, Homeopathic,etc. should not be allowed to treat the patients as has been allowed to the allopathy. more
