Baggage Allowance by Airlines

I would like to alert all the readers against a big fraud happening at the check in counters of various airlines. I frequently travel by air and that is why, I have a weighing machine at home to weigh my luggage before I proceed to the airport just to ensure that I am not carrying any extra baggage.
I have observed that my luggage, which weighed less than 15 kgs. (the threshold), was 2-3 kgs (even 5 kgs) more at the airport. There were occasions when I had to shell out money to compensate for the extra baggage @Rs. 250 per kg. This seems to be an extra income for airlines as, I doubt, if their weighing machines are being checked randomly by the government agencies. I even shifted my luggage from one counter to another and found that the weights shown at the two counters were different.
This needs to be probed and penal action taken against the erring airlines. more

This is for weight and measurement department to check, just give them the clue and ministries about the irregularities carried out by the airlines. more
Free baggage of 15 Kg per persons seems to be very less for students, who carry book and laptops. It should be increased. more
I still feel there is some fraud taking place. The other day I packed my son's baggage which I was very sure far below the allowed weight. Still they charged extra thousands for the luggage. People pay extra to avoid unwanted scene in the long 'Q' and crowd. more
Mr. Harsh Sharma, Govt. certified Weighing m/c so that inffec iences can multiply as well as the crowds at such counters and Mr Modi can proclaimhis spiel on Swacch Bharat. more
