Bajaj Allianz - extended warranty

Under extended warranty policy i had raised claim for TV remote control whose One of they key was not working. Insurer rejected the claim saying that since there is small damage to outside case of the remote hence we cannot process the claim.
My reason were as below
1) Reason for only One key of remote not working is the manufacturing fault with the PCB inside the remote . If due to falling, PCB breaks then full remote will not work. However this is not the case here. Hence it is wrong reason to reject the claim.
2) After almost 4 years of use every plastic PART becomes brittle and even with small drop it break a bit. I mean normal wear an tear will happen to product when used daily however insurance companies use normal wear and tear to reject the claim.
3) Unlike older remotes these new type of remote does not have moving parts inside. and only when PCB circuit inside does not work it will malfunction.
If insurance work like this then no extended guarantee claim will be admissible and it will become money making racket. regards. more

Now a days, all electronics components work on PCB, which is a costly one. However, all extended warranty should be covering all parts, if not excluded in the offer letter. more  
Convey them course to the Consumer Court. They will replace the Remote for small thing they won't like to hire an advocate & face the Court. more  
Jaguar gives seven year warranty for its products. I bought a tap from them and its spindle did not work properly after two years only. When I asked for a replacement, they say that due to improper use, the spindle is damaged and did not give a replacement without charging for the same. Now i want to know that there are no other parts in a tap except the spindle. What is the guarantee for? The said part may have been worn out before its life and hence stopped working. So, guarantees are only eyewash more  
Dear, I understood your question. In INDIA, all such cos misuse terms of warranty as " to maintain the product as per cos instruction", despite there is no relation with external damages, co take advantage of such clause. More or less same kind of expeience I faced, when car brake oil was NOT changed on schedule time, claim of other parts of car was rejected under pretext of as mentioned above as MAINTENANCE LAPSES. Such reponse goes on credential of the cos only, I think I tried to clarify the matter. thx more  
Bajaj Allianz, in fact ALL insurers around the world, CHEAT. This is nothing new. Only methods used by each insurer is new to keep on fooling most of the people most of the time. Suggest see THE RAINMAKER a book and movie on your TataSky, the book has been written by John Grisham. It will open your eyes to the cheating world of INSURANCE companies. Unless an insurance company is UNETHICAL, DEVIOUS & MANIPULATIVE it cannot work. It has corrupted the entire system incl. the various orgs which promise to resolve grievances but quietly do in favour of insurance companies. more
