Ban on meat shops during Navratra
Why so you need ban on meat shops during Navratra like many states are implementing.
Instead why isnt a standard proposed for meat shops so they are not open to public viewing such that those who do not want to see meat are not exposed to it.
It will require one time investment by shop owners but make these shops much more acceptable.
Start with big cities and then go to Bharat.

This suggestion is possible only in High Fi shops and in Big Cities. Go to the Country side and see the Reality. 99% of the shops and cutting are in Open. more

I don't know how it's in Muslim countries. However, I've witnessed practices followed by meat/fish dealers/sellers, as described by Mr. Sudarshan Venkataramanan above, in some advanced countries like the USA, Australia, etc. more
