Banana leaf as packaging material - lets have a standard
Let us go back to our Indian roots and create a standard where all food can be packaged in banana leaves also in addition to plastic.
I was in big bazaar recently. They use so much plastic for fruits and veggies. We need to have them move to using banana leaf as package material. See the video.

Banana Leavies and Lotus Leaves may also be used for package of fruits in the market.

Banana leaf may bundle together cucumbers, zucchini, snake guard....in other words the longish vegetables, also bananas, but then round veggies and fruits may pose a problem. And how then, practically, to carry all these bundles home.........?? Most of us are yet lazy/reluctant/forgetful towards carrying own cloth bags for shopping.

Good suggestion, instead of plastic plates banana leaf can be used, this was practiced in South India in a recent past.
