THE BANGALORE-MANGALORE/UDUPI/ KARWAR TRAIN SERVICE IS NOT OF MUCH USE AT PRESENT BECAUSE IT TAKES UNUSUALLY LONG TIME.THERE IS IMMEDIATE NEED FOR DOUBLING OF THE TRACK AND INCREASE THE NUMBER OF TRAINS WITH LIMITED STOPS.THIS WILL BRING CONSIDERABLE REVENUE TO THE RAILWAYS BY WAY OF PASSENGER FARE AND FREIGHT CHARGES.THE RO-RO GOODS TRAFFIC HAS BEEN VERY POPULAR WHICH SAVES A LOT OF DIESEL IF THE TRUCKS MAKE USE OF THE ROAD. more
