Bank accounts getting frozen
It seems ICICI is starting to freeze bank accounts. A friend just shared on her social media that her accounts have been frozen. Can consumer affairs ministry take this up with RBI? Is there a RBI notification saying freeze bank accounts with no Aadhaar. Like to see that. more

I have account with ICICI and not linked my Aadhar to the account. My account is not frozen. While I accept that ICICI staff behave very highhandedly, atleast I have not been subjected to account freeze at this point. They keep demanding Aadhaar for every activity, which is against court rules. more

Before making it an issue, please ensure the latest guidelines of the government regarding linking bank accounts with aadhar. more

First step will be Writing a warning letter with the copy of Supreme Court ruling to Branch Manager with copy to Nodal Officer, & then complain to Ombudsman. It is high time we should have a consumers association/co-op society across the nation, with special chapters like bank, LPG,Insurance, Healthcare etc etc. Unless there's class action lawsuits for the common malpractices, consumers will be taken for a ride, and cheated. more
