Bank Charges on Saving Bank Account Operations

Today we are talking about digitization. If the government wants the general public to adopt digitization, then it should be aimed at transparency of transactions and not to generate profits out of the transactions.

According to my information these are basic Requirements for Digitization :
1.Savings bank account
2.Debit card for internet banking and POS transactions to avoid cash transactions

Discouragement Factors for Digitization and inconvenience being caused to general public and bank account holders:
1.Banks have started charging for Annual fees for Debit card which was free service by many banks till now.
2.Bank charges NEFT/Online bank transfer charges for transactions being done online.
3. Changes in the charges not being communicated from time to time though the banks have our entire contact details. No SMS, Emails or mails are being sent to update the account holders.
4. No consent taken by the Account holders for accepting such charges for the services being rendered. The account holder gets a surprise debit in his account one fine day at the mercy of bank's discretion to levy such charges without any time frame.

Banks are charging for every service being rendered. It has become more commercial and digging holes in the pockets of general public and account holders.

Are we heading towards Digitization or towards making profit making by banks from general public by adopting digitization???

Let us take up the matter with the Government for the inconvenience being caused to the bank account holders.
The Savings Bank Account Holders should be spared & relieved from such mandatory charges with immediate effect, and all such charges collected by bank be refunded back to its account holders. more

It is true that Ministers have no time to go thru the mail and they depend on bureaucrats and every one is aware of bureaucracy system I pointed out about OTP which all most all banks included in chargeable SMS whereas due to chargeable SMS, low income customers, senior citizens like us, students, widow etc. are not opting for these services as all who fall in this category have limited income and this charge is painful too. In my opinion this OTP is one of the important reason which defeats the purpose of Govt. of India who advised to avoid cash payments and route all payments thru Bank ? Further for your information earlier I requested all related to banking activities that software updation is need of hour in present situation citing so many small well known examples. Till today neither I know what happened to my mail postings nor it is evident in practice which any one of you can verify yourself visiting Bank. gd_binani@yahoo.com more

Greedy Banks and Lazy RBI more
Greedy Govt. with Lazy RBI AND SBI has no IQ there are thousands of ways to make bank financially healthy, one example 35-40% people in all cities staying on rental accommodation, govt can fix rent rates and can route it through banks in conjunction with Corporation no house owner to be authorized to collect rent by cash from the Tenant make it mandatory to declare all house owner about their house at corporation and corporation should manage this through bank, it will be good system there will be no illegal occupancy, Bank and Govt will gain more than 14% Tax of total tax in this. more
Digitization means self service in Max Why then have to pay charges for that also. more
