Bank holidays
It is unfortunate that a series of holidays follows one another on consecutive days. IT may happen. We can not help. But if the number of religious holidays are cut short this problem will never appear. The banks were working six days of the week and there was no complaint and why did the government included the alternative Saturdays to the list. A developing country such as ours should work more days in fact. We are trying to follow the developed countries for nothing. The government must be bold enough to cut short all holidays and restrict it to only two national holidays - Republic day and Independence day. All religious holidays must be made optional. With the all kind of communal fights hanging over us where is the logic of having all these holidays? Let us work and increase our production and pay more so that all will be happy and the nation will progress. more

The Bank holidays must be regulated as per negotiable instruments act to that of like the Industries which is around 10 days in a year. Sitting in A.C. comfort and doing favors to their own friends using public money it is a waste of money to pay them with lot of paid holidays. The productivity must be increased. They must be assigned targets. With computerisation their work is simplified and why pay more when the common man who invests their money in banks are paid low interest but the bank employees dealing with public money are paid very huge perks like paid holidays. more

Half of the works are done by customers only like pass book printing machine ATM and cash deposit machines so why we need to pay more money for bank employees they not even need to calculate the interest rate they are just working as a data entry operators for data entry work why the banker therapies are paying more money because more number of data entry operators are available at a lesser cost the only thing is where to give and what to give this is the work in the banks banks this must be done in a lower caste with the trained data entry operator the bank authority's need not paid huge amount for bank employees as salary more

if we are able to get our money from any bank ATM,it means all our banking accounts are interrelated, or centrally hosting. so why we need so many bank branches in a same area with different names with same functions. Banks should be merged, and only four or five type of banks can be allowed with branches in every area. banks like, for industries, for agriculture, for loans like that. so that only less number of staff is required to function and the inefficient staff can go for an alternate work. for normal bank operations like withdrawal, Cash deposit, passbook printing, Check deposit etc, one need not visit the bank. all can be done through machines. then why they need so many staff for bank. more
