Bank Transaction Fee

The localcircles had done a poll on the cash and cashless and shared with us. Still both people and merchants are struggling with high card charges and now if I read paper and Mr. Furia's post, new charges are being introduced. The merchant and consumer is getting squeezed.

Like to know what is the ministry's and more than that RBIs plan to address this. Otherwise cashless will just remain another meaningless term while consumer gets ripped by their bank for charges of all kinds on both cash and cashless.

Please remove all charges on bank and card transactions. It is not only inconvenient but also unfair to tax us multiple times for hard earned money more
If the government is at all serious about cashless transactions, they have to totally eliminate all service taxes, charges for using debit cards or other forms of payment or transfer. All transactions have to be as easy as paying by cash. In fact, there should be some incentive to go cashless so that people gladly support such a move. Otherwise, whatever goodwill the people have, towards efforts to eliminate black money will soon be lost, especially now that no moves to contain Benami is visible. more
card transactions save man hours, stationary, and encourage business in comparison to over the counter transactions. In fact the charges of use of internet are going down. Some telecom companies are providing free SMS facility and Free internet. Above all these things the transactions are transparent in respect of tax and other financial angles. Then why bank charges on card transactions. more
Why there should be bank charges on cashless transactions? This is an impediment on moving towards cashless economy. Moreover, all citizens' transactions are tracked, which is unethical. more
