What do you feel about banking charges? Are they justified? There are allegations being made that the charges are meant to offset the losses due to high NPAs? Do you agree more
Banks private or Public are commercial organisations and not Charity service. They are expected to make profits. All services entail some minimum expenses. Banks need to charge customers for that. But it should be on actual cost basis ,reasonable and uniform for all PSU Banks more
Not at all justified. They collect money from public and charging them. They do the buainess with the hard earned money of the public. If that public take a loan, they are being charged and are making profit out of it. The service they should have been given in the branches are giving through atm counters leaving them effortless. more
Let me thank for asking the opinion at least now after implementation . The recent addition of charges are not at all justified. Private banks may do as per their policy but the nationalised banks are not expected.private banks are profit oriented but the nationalised banks are to be service oriented. Because public money is spent to make their losses. If every transaction is charged what is the difference between a private and nationalised bank. They also may be privatised. Public will not have the burden of NPA When every thing is mechanised the charges should be cheaper. Ex drop boxes, deposit and withdrawal machines and computarised accounting and tallying. Inter net and tel services are getting cheaper but banks charge on all transactions going up. What is the justification for charges for closing account? Giving lesser returns on the deposits and more and more charges. And reduced responsibility like lockers etc. It is like making drug addicts with free drugs and charging more after they are addicts. People are forced/convinced / attracted to banks to loot later. Many more--- more
