Banned drugs sold in India
Someone tells me that some files that went missing from DCGI were of CONTROVERSIAL DRUGS that were banned across the world and were approved by non-medical staff of CDSCO on PERSONAL PERCEPTION WITHOUT ANY HARD SCIENTIFIC DATA OR EVIDENCE.
The drugs are still being currently sold in india.
These drugs are:
1.Everolimus (Novartis).
2.Colistimethante (Cipla).
3.Exemestate (Pharmacia).
4.Buclizine (UCB).
5.Pemetrexid (Eli Lilly).
6.Aliskiren (Novartis).
7.Pentosan (West Coast).
8. Ambrisentan (GlaxoSmithKline).
9.Ademetionine (Akums).
10.Pirfenidone (Cipla).
11. FDC of Pregabalin, Methylcobolamine, Alpha Lipoic Acid, Pyridoxine and Folic Acid (theon).
Can this be looked into by this transparency organisation?? more

I believe drugs listed against Sl. No.11 of the list are prescription Drugs and are being prescribed for the good of the patients. They may not be prohibited drugs. Nevertheless our Drugs Departments in the country are known as ineffective and infected with corruption. more

it is surprising that the present govt is sitting on these and allowing the banned drugs due to health hazards to be consumed by gullible citizens .It should be immeditately looked into and if it is fact that these are banned drugs then humans lives are same every where and need to be banned.These MNC drug companies easily dump in other countries where there are no regulation without consideration of its effect on human lives.Hope there is no nexus between the authorities and these companies. more
