Basic Services

While we are talking about world class cities and Gurgaon to be in the race, the basics have to be right first.
Essentials like motorable roads, no garbage, effective sewer system and cattle free roads have to exist first.
We are currently struggling with these basic services which is our right as citizens of this state and country.
Why can we not get motorable roads- why do we have to spend so much on getting on vehicles repaired which get damaged due to these roads.
During rains, why do we get a feeling of living in Venice when our govt.has been boasting of building storm water rains since past 3 years.
Why can not be there a check on stray cattle and pigs who roam about in the middle of roads.
Why cant we have street light on all roads in Gurgaon.
Is this why we pay taxes like Income tax, Sales tax, VAT, Service tax, Service charge, Toll tax, Road tax, electricity tax and some surcharges.
Somebody has to be made answerable for all this. more

It is an attitude problem with HUDA, MCG, etc. The authorities don't consider the citizens of Gurgaon as their customers whom they have to serve. They feel they are the rulers and citizens are subjects..... The designations are Administrators, Commissioners indicate the style of working and the attitude..... Sad... more
Agree......HUDA, MCG and the State Govt. are not even attempting to play catch up with private enterprise more
I wonder who got the funny idea that Gurgaon is in the race for world class cities. There is not a stretch of 1 km where the road is not broken, debris on the road side, water/electricity supply not regular, road traffic unmanageable, corruption at tits peak. Merely making high rise buildings will not bring it to world class city. more
very valid point. Who is the co-ordinator? Who takes it up further to authorities who can act on feed back from comments on the Circle? In absence of the same, it is pointless to spend effort in writing comments. more
All of us writing on Local Circles but who is the owner of each local circle? Is there any Govt. department involved.... What happened to our comments / suggestions is not known.... Can any one throw light on this Question..... more
