Bathing with Sewage Water - Wake up DJB

How many of you bath with sewage water? My family is made to bath with DJB water mixed with sewage for the last ten days. I live at F9, Kailash Colony, New Delhi 110048. Several calls to CM's Helpline and CEO DJB has not brought any kind of tangible results to plug the root cause. I pay all my bills regularly and they are not small amounts to DJB but no body is bothered who draws fat salaries and enjoy amenities based on our tax money and the amount paid to DJB as per their bills. Is this what we as consumers of DJB deserve? All the persons, except a few, talk with arrogance and are rude with no phone etiquette nor consumer friendly communication. I want to see who will lose his job because of such deliberate act of negligence. My family's health and safety is compromised and so must be the fate of millions of consumers in Delhi. Let us join hands to punish DJB officials responsible for such a grave episode happening all over Delhi. I am sure many are suffering due to such irresponsible work culture. more

Yes indeed. And for every ills you cannot blame the Government of the day. Also there is a hierarchy which is in place and only if you don't get response, you can then escalate it to the higher levels. CM does not look into water resource management directly. Local MLA needs to be the first point of contact in this case and mostly they call up the DJB and get the things done.CM has other important work and simply such small matters clutter his own schedule and already there is no dearth of people ready to blame him. more
He did try to sack a few irresponsible and non responsive employees but the LG, Center & even the Courts started questioning his actions and terming him irresponsible instead. Do you know CM Arvind Kejriwal had claimed more than 1500 Ghost workers in MCD and the tax payers money was going into different pockets. For this reason he with-held the payments to workers to first identify them. But then the MCD employees went on strike and started throwing garbage on the roads and raising a stink. Court ordered immediate payment to be made. Even the Chief Secretary Anshu Prakash incident happened as these IAS officials deliberately sat on AAP's Anniversary advertisement while even the smallest of states Chhatisgarh, Telangana & Bihar were giving full page Ads of their achievements. More recently CM visited Transport Department Office and found the Transport Chief - one lady lacking in discharge of duty and his observations were again blown out of proportion by the news hungry media. It is easy to blame someone but when you do not have the power to even terminate the services of inefficient workers to claim that all water logging sites are desilted whereas they did not do anything...then during rains the flooding happens and with it the water contamination. So who should be blamed? more
He has most irresponsible persons down the line without any accountability. The problems need to get fixed and if citizens are suffering then CM must be held responsible. We do not want to spend tax payers hard earned money on employees who do not perform. They need to get sacked! more
WATER PIPELINES ARE DAMAGED AT MANY PLACES AND SOME ARE TOO MUCH RUSTED AND CRUMBLING. AS A RESULT SEVER WATER ENTERS THE WATER SUPPLY PIPELINES WHEN THERE IS NO WATER BEING PUMPED. THE ACCUMULATED SEVER WATER GET MIXED WITH THE FRESH WATER SUPPLY. MOSTLY THE SEVERS ARE OVER FLOWING AND BLOCKED AT PLACES. THE PROBLEM BECOMES ALL THE MORE SEVER. DJB NEEDS TO INVEST IN EXPANDING THE CAPACITY OF SEVER LINES AND CHANGING ROTTEN WATER PIPES. more
Illegality which was going on for past 20 years plus can't be rectified within 3 years plus. Hoping for more demolitions of Illegal Constructions. I have no sympathies with the people who bribe the authorities and get away unscathed We the hard working people don't want to look lesser and beaten by the system. more
Locals are not co_operating. They used to put the garbage in the drains, Engineers have not proper planning, they mixed the storm drains to sewers. People are having there cattle in home, so not only citizen soil it carries gobar/dung also, which is worst, it is main ingredient to block the sewers and the polluted dirt and derbies flow over the road. You take bath but we have to move in this knee top slurry to go out and come in daily. It is in interest of the maintenance people to keep it for ever and earn regularly on the name of non-maintaining activities. more
