In the first place selling water is unethical. In public places and in stadiums where the public to gather, the authorities have to provide minimum basic amenities to the public. If they can not provide at least they have to provide at subsidised rates. Contrary to this they need some sort of punishment. more

But the S.C. has taken The authority of Legal Metrology to punish or levy fines on such anomaly. As it is the the Department is lethargic and only on complaint they act and half heartedly. They don't detect any themselves as they keep their eyes closed. I think S.C. should be more clear about the verdict on selling packaged items as second sales. It is really rediculous to allow the traders to sell over M.R.P. THEN WHY HAVE THE MRP MARKING AT ALL. more

After going through the SC judgement, it is better to keep quite or government should seek specific clarification on this matter. more

all govt. departments are sleeping, they will not act or do proper work. if you give complaint agt any body, they will show the complaint to them and will bribe more money. more

Supreme Court order does not apply here. States' Consumer Affair Departments should should act aggressively and effectively. Stadium authorities should be made responsible by the visiting-consumers - file a case against them for not taking appropriate action prior to opening up the compound for the visitors. more
