I am sharing a complaint of a consumer who shared with us his experience with a shopping site www.amazingshoping.com . The experience shared by the consumer compelled me to visit public domain and found that similar experiences have been faced by many. I thought it to share with the members so that they could be extra careful if planning to do shopping through this site.
"I received a call from Amazingshoping.com company stating I have won an assured gift of Rs. 95,000/- and to avail this initially they asked me to pay Rs. 5,999/-. Later on, they increased the prize money to Rs. 1,90,000/- and lured me into the offer and took a total Rs. 38,197/- attached herewith is a copy of payment confirmation message as Annexure I. Please find below the detail of all the transactions:

However after paying such a huge amount and several reminders, neither I received the money nor any response from your company’s side. I called up your company several times to divert the attention towards my grievance but failed. I had sent several requests to your executives for my refund but they marginalized me. I surmised that the amount was fraudulently taken by me.

The customer is neither getting the amount refunded nor the products. The company is threatening him to deduct some 12.36% for making refund. The quote of the company response is:
"As per the complaint of mr. ravindra singh we will procced the refund and we would like to assure you that your amount will come to you after deducting the 12.36% and company charges as per our policy, and it will credited in your account within 20 working days!!" more

Be always on guard particularly for offers of prizes and awards from unknown people. Don't even respond to their emails, if you send any reply they will trap you. Just delete such mails and forget about them. Nothing is free in this world and nobody will give you any money/prize/award for free. Remember that. more

The persons claiming to be from the NGOs soliciting monetory help for seriously sick patients is a getting to be very common. Out of compassion, I helped few such persons but soon only I realised that my tel. no. has been circulated as a sucker who will fall for their trickery. The Professor from NOIDA claiming to be helping his daughter working for an NGO approached me also but i was successful in exposing him. My advice is to take down the particulars and check on the Net. more
