Be careful of bottled water suppliers
Recently in Pune the officials found that packaged water was simply filled from tap and sold and had a deadly cocktail of chemicals and bacteria.
Brand name, Marvalous, Blue Dews and Aqua Nation bottles were seized during the raid were being sold across the city with a fake licence number.
During the raid, officials were shocked to find that the testing lab and plant was non-operational and the water was filled directly from the tap water. The tempo driver was filling the water from a tap, putting seals on it and the bottles were ready for delivery. There were no chemists or microbiologists in the lab.
Make sure the guy who comes to deliver these bottles to you isn't running a side operation more

Pl. be stress for the Bill with sign and seal(Runner Stamp of Vendor) , as the vendor does not provide the same. Once you got it you can file consumer complaint. Several complaints of this sort will suffice the very purpose. more

Asha thank you for sharing such a critical information ....while there is still a scope of improvement we need to keep on pumping with such loop holes to get some action ...lets be fair ...people like you and others who come out with such information would enable the authorities to take action ...after all we cannot expect them to manage and ensure a seamless running of a country ! more

Mr. Subbarao is right. We Indians are still not serious to this problem. Unless we develop the habit of religiously destroying and make the bottle unusable instead of just throwing it without damaging it completely (so that in cant be used at all). more
