Be the Change!

Friends, I have joined this circle today only and have been going through various threads. What a great space created for interactions. I also read some of the pessimistic comments on how conditions cannot be implemented on safe consumption of energy drinks.

People should not give up on India and Govt like this. How will we improve otherwise. Why cant FSSAI evaluate this and if it is found that under 18 kids should not consume this, make it mandatory for producer to write on the can and for seller to comply.

We really need to drop this looser attitude. 70 years have been like this so nothing will change in next 70 is just negative thinking. Lets all determine to move from pessimism to optimism. The fact that we are having this conversation sitting in different parts of india with the govt itself is a huge positive. Many are loosing their lives to cancer for reasons beyond comprehension and my doctor brother in usa says, unsafe food has a big role. So lets throw our colored lens please and work together to eliminate every unsafe food practice out of here. more

Let us take steps for elimination of every unsafe food practices more
I agree with Mr Ajay Mittal. Let us not get resigned to the fact that nothing is possible. We have to first start believing in ourselves and then take courage and be an agent of change. Rather than playing a victim of circumstances, let us create circumstances that are favourable. more
I hope the suggestion would receive a favour but the long process to bring the rule in force may allow it to continue for years and damage may take place and will go unattended. Need to develop shorter process for rule finalisation. SD Kulkarni Pune On 8 Mar 2017 09:52, "Ajay Mittal" wrote: > more
Govt has recently come out with a notification banning use of animal parts in making Silver foil commonly known as vark. Govt should do something similar for drinks, specifically when Coca Cola has admitted its harmful effect. more
Dear friends ! No doubt it is an welcoming circle to communicate and we are also happy to have eminent persons from different class and field are here and they are sharing their valuable opinion concerns regarding food safely. But My only concern is how to make it more public . Our system is so corrupt and so lazy we can not take action against anything. Yesterday I was standing at a local bus stop waiting for my sons school bus to come. within that 20 minutes of waiting ,i could see at least 15 people were taking their lunch from an unauthorised roadside vendor ( paratha chole wala thela ). after few words of friendly communication with that vendor I came to know that he is paying a fixed amount to the police walla, MCD people ETC ( i might be wrong who are the people exactly taking money from him). And more surprisingly one of the customer also told how can you guarantee that the food served in hotels are good and hygienic. they told all these formalities are just governments way to take money. Give me money,I will give you FSSAI licence and you can sale anything you want... Sir how can we change the mentality? How to change the common man's thought ? How to change this corrupted system? the whole system needs to be changed. The implementing authority people should be honest first.... FSSAI must start some ROAD SHOW type event to make the general public aware, and again it must be through a direct approach , not like they are hiring an agency for crores, that agency outsourcing another sub agent for 50 lakhs, again they appoint the ground level worker just for some thousands and the out put is for Rs 100. LOTS OF CHANGES WE REQUIRE FOR EVERY ASPECT OF OUR LIVES NOW.. SO FOR FOOD SECURITY, DEAR FRIENDS more
