Beware if Groupon/Nearbuy

Friends, you may have heard of this coupon / group discount site.

Beware of them when buying a restaurant deal with them. Many restaurants staff doesnt even know about this site and they make you look like a fool.

Also, some restaurants who know about it look at you like "why did you come" make u feel reallh unwelcome.

I worked for Firstsource Solutions Ltd for 3 years. Worst is that our performance incentives were given in vouchers of Ticket Compliments by Accor Services. No retailer or mall would accept our vouchers including Pantaloon, Shoppers Stop & any Restaurant. The names of the restaurants & shops that will accept the vouchers were given to us in a booklet. Being a top performer every month I lost Rs 7,000 to Rs 8,000 of my salary in vouchers. The managers would always term it as Grey Areas. Even others in my process were not able to redeem the vouchers. more

GROUPON/NEARBUY are THUGS ! I had purchased 4 coupons @ 49 only of Freecharge offer from Groupon long time back. Only 1 honoured. Inspite of REPEATED requests rest 3 NOT honoured NOR REFUNDED still. They can cheat U for as low as 49 also. U never know when. Lastly, disgusted i told them keep the money as charity & enjoy as CHEATERS. I have stopped dealing since. more

People should understand that "There is no free lunch in the Economy". I have come across people who shows that I have received rupees 1000 worth of coupons. In the small letter it is written over there that on the purchase of Rs 10,000/- only. Business always takes advantage of the foolishness of the people in general. All of us today know that how the Americans proved us that Coconut oil contains cholesterol and therefore should be avoided and sold their surplus produced Palm oil to us. Now they are coming out that use of coconut oil fights colon cancer and a spoon of coconut oil daily is good for health. Neither our Govt., citizen's forum or any public welfare body in our country is serious about such looting misguiding the public it is essentially necessary for individuals to be careful and conscious about such dealings.
