Beware of Paytm

It has madr Aadhar mandatory despite Supreme Court orders. While the app will ask you to link any valid id proof, a representative will visit you and collect your biometrics and Aadhar details.

All these biometrics are collected by third party vendors many of who dont have any ethics and hence high risk for customer. more

I cease to remain a gentleman when individuals of the stature of Attorney General makes utterly stupid public statements - hence they should not be simply brushed aside as 'laughable'. Will he deny his wife, children, father and mother since they were related so before he was the Attorney General ? Will he declare his wife, children etc as illegitimate and himself not born of his declared father and mother since they were so related to him before he became the Attorney General? Shame! Shame!! Shame!!! more
It is laughable what the Attorney General Shri K.K. Venugopal is reported to have told the Supreme Court Bench, that those who enrolled for Aadhar Card when it was not mandatory cannot now complain that their fundamental rights to privacy are endangered. When most of us enrolled before 2016 it was only to get an identity card with address proof. Also the gas subsidy promised to be credited to the linked account was a draw. Some of us were promised Rs.5000/- credit to our account for loss/damage caused by cyclone in Tamilnadu. The smart card ration card was supposed to be issued to those who already had a regular ration card AND who could produce their Aadhar card number. My experience in all the cases cited was negative. My sister's account was not credited with the gas subsidy although she had opted for it. I did not receive any reimbursement of Rs.5000/- as promised though my servant maid did. I did not receive my smart card ration card. However when my banker asked to link my pension account with Aadhar number I refused because I deemed pension to be my delayed emoluments and not a government subsidy. I have decided not to link my bank accounts or mobile phone etc to Aadhar card because these involve risks that I am not prepared to face as a Senior Citizen. It should be enough for the GOI that I am an honest taxpaying citizen having a PAN number staying in my own residence paying house tax, water tax, water charges, electricity charges etc. However it enrages me when a spokesman like Vineet Goenka smilingly dismisses the reality of deaths due to non-receipt of rations as "deplorable" but not a reason to decline linking everything to Aadhar Card. What IS deplorable is that the BJP should be so adamant about imposing a most unfavourable and risky condition on the voting public and cite all sorts of perverse arguments to bolster their case before the Supreme Court and even citing that not all have filed the case! It makes me feel the time is not far off when each and every citizen who feels the mandatory linking of Aadhar card to anything and everything compromises their fundamental rights and security should send a telegram to the Supreme Court seeking its succour. We look for justice to be ensured and our security as well by the Honourable Judges hearing the case. L.Kalavathi Retired Bank Official Chennai, Tamilnadu, India 22/03/2018 more
Yes. With the seeding of Aadhar to private vendors dealing with Paytm etc., the citizens are not feeling secured. Let government think over it. more
Agree to Amit Mishara more
Government need to publicize the Secured aspect of Paytm or any. Money transfer through any System is to be checked in time and Report demanding credit back of the same incase of any wrong. This is required even in normal Banking issues. more
