Beware of Star Health and Care insurance

Star and Care stand out in people having horrible claims experience and claim rejection

I have seen both these insurers reject claims for illogical reasons.
They seem to delay claims as well asking for random paperwork.
They randomly get private data from other insurers and call up policyholders asking them to port to their companies.
They also advise to hide certain diseases to get a policy issued.

Some online platforms sell these products to get high commissions and they need to be asked why do they really do it!

Health insurance is complex and buying a policy from good quality is really really essential.
People need to be really really careful with these two insurers! more

It’s common practice by insurance companies to repudiate claims on one pretext or other. They know it well that all complaints can’t move consumer courts and can’t wait for 10-12 months of hard earned income and always agree for d cut. It is always better to give written notice of 30 days and in case no reply, will move d consumer court. It helps many times to get more claim Inderjit Singh more
Claim rejection for one or the other reason is a common practise followed by these insurance companies more
Pretty much every insurance agent indulges in such activities to secure business for himself / herself, irrespective of which insurance company (s)he represents. Agents are mostly NOT regular employees of insurance companies and work on commission basis, getting a hefty commission (approx 30% of first premium). Consumers are mostly unaware of the pitfalls of such wrongful declaration, which later gets caught at the time of claim, and hence their claims are rejected. more
