BGV Issue

Hi Everyone,

I want to discuss an issue with all of you

If a person working with organization A(a good MNC) got an opportunity in organization B. He resign in A and accepts offer letter of B and start serving the notice. On the last day he get a call from B that you cannot join due to background verification. You joining date is delayed but B doesn't give any tentative date. After calling several times B's HR says we are processing. Now a person has no other offer. What should he do? Whose fault is it?

Currently i am facing this issue and submitted all correct documents. Please suggest? more

I wasn't aware that HCL also deploys such tactics. I think the actual reason is that the project for which they were hiring got stuck or cancelled and hence they are putting all joinings related to that one on hold. Continue your job search and keep pestering HCL HR. In such a large company some opening or other gets opened and they will likely take you in whenever that happens. Disclaimer - I am NOT an HCL employee. more

Navjot, just take this as bad experience and move forward. but I feel you should atleast highlight the name of company B which according to me is wrong. They should have given you a valid/genuine reason. Company B's name should be highlighted so that more people are not harmed by them. atleast people who are trying to find a job will have a trigger for this company (to be double sure). more
