bharat ratna to people doing public good
till now bharat ratna has been awarded mostly ( > 90 % ) to politicians only. though politicians do serve the nation, they do not always act in the interest of public and many of their actions are self serving and against the public good. many of these polticians have swindled/helped swindle large amount of public money and been exposed.
so i suggest that people who have taken extraordinary action in public interest and done good to all public/citizens of india should also be awarded bharat ratna. what i mean here is that people who filed PIL in SC against 2G SCAM AND COAL BLOCKS scam and saved hundreds of crores of public money are the real public heroes and have done a lot for general citizens of india , even risking their lives and safety in this respect. They are the ones who have done maximum good for the aam citizen and should be warded the bharat ratna. Even though the scams were known to oppn. politicians , thye just tried to take political mileage out of it and did not file any court cases or take concrete steps for annuling these decisions.
AAP, being the aam admi party, and forerunner in taking up public causes , should take the lead in starting a campaign for this . i am sure we will get huge support every increasing day and it will become a very strong and successfull mass movement like the anti corruption campaign and also has the potential to lift the political prospects of the party in coming elections. let us make this a commitmment in our manifesto. The judges delivering such judgements upholding public right and saving public money should be suitable honoured, may be even vbharat ratna for them also. even for the CAG who published this report. more

I am fully agree with Mr Neeraj. Bharat Ratna awards should only for those who have done something special for the nation and not for those who committed scams or let scams committed or looting the Govt treasure like mines ie coal, iron ore, copper mines, sand from river beds, stone of hills or so on. Moreover politicians should be avoided from such awards as they do nothing for the nation. They only permit corruption for their kins and kids and gather money for coming elections. more

I do not think this is a good idea. This will create an unnecessary and vulgar race. Actually this very concept of awarding Bharat Ratna is illogical e.g. will you accord Sachin Tendulkar and Mahamana Malviyaji same status. more
