Bharti Airtel Not refunding the amount after Cancellation

I booked for a Airtel Landline connection on 16.08.2019 . I clearly told them that I need a Landline connection only as already I have a internet connection at home. But after paying the amount they are saying it will come along with Internet and I had to pay for it as well. Then I immediately cancelled the connection. They told me it will take 7 working days. This was on 16.08.2019. After that several people keep calling me and everyone is saying 7 working days and each one is putting a new rule. Today one person by name Bishal Joshi (7899799614) called me and asking for OTP. I never received any call and neither I had a OTP. He is again saying it will take one more week for cancellation after giving the OTP. Also they are calling from unknown numbers and at odd times. So far 5 people had talked to me including a lady and no one is cancelling it till date. They keep on extending the refund date and who ever calls tells the same story. It all started with the Airtel Sales person Radhakrishnan ( 9003093999) and till date the issue is not resolved. This is causing me unnecessary mental tension and agony. more

In addition to what Mr. Puthucode Anantharaman has advised I hope you may be having recordings of your talk with all and sundry of Air Tel. All smart phones have inbuilt app for call recording. Find theses calls from your phone and send recordings via email to all as advised by Mr. Anantharaman. This will make your case stronger. After advent of Jio many telecom service providers are looting innocent consumer under various pretext. Follow your case till end. more
Never give OTP . For all you know callers may be frauds and may misuse your account. On safer side, correspond on e mail and complaint to telecom authority, ministry and newspapers. more
This is not expected from Bharti Airtel. Please issue Regd. notice and if necessary go to Consumer Forum. more
Air tel from the beginning gives wrong communication, as their products are marketed by merchandise and it, appears, their after sales services calls are handled by call centers. Each shift, each day, staff changes and air tel gets away easily with the help of the new call center staff. Clarify the following points . 1) Do you have all documents i.e booking documents only for a phone connection? 2) Whether airtel issued you any letter that p[hone connection will be made along with net connection? 3) When you asked air tel to cancel your booking, whether you have submitted your decision in writing? 4) Have you received any communication from airtel stating within 7 days refund will be made? 5) Whether have you received any intimation regarding OTP, which you stated in your message? Make a strong letter addressed to air tel management in your circle and post it to them with all enclosures by registered A D., endorse a copy to TRAI and DOT. Post a copy of your letter in social media as well in this group. Se how your case turns. more
Airtel is a cheat. You may complain to TRAI but don't think they will do anything. i'm also sufferer for their malpractices as well as arbitrary increase in tariff plan without my consent. more
