Big Basket has compromised your data
It has been reported that the database of Big Basket Users is available for sale in a cyber crime market, being sold for over USD 40,000. The leak contains a database portion; with the table name ‘member_member’. The size of the SQL file is about 15 GB, containing close to 20 million user data.
The data put on sale includes names, email IDs, password hashes, contact numbers (mobile and phone), addresses, date of birth, location, and IP addresses of login among many others.
Suggest all users immediately change their passwords or close their accounts. more

Promoters, Directors of Big Basket be questioned by police and any body found involved be sent to jail. more

How authentic is the information provided by Ms.Ravichandran in her post? If all that is true, Big Basket should be taken to task for compromising the privacy of its customer. more

Government should specify what data should be collected by any firm doing on line sales. Name, gender, location, mobile no, email id and year of birth should be sufficient. more
