Big Hospitals have been looting us

CCI investigation has found that Max, Fortis, Apollo & other big hospital chains have been overcharging patients

They've been charging excessive prices for rooms, medicines, medical tests, medical devices & consumables

Some room rents exceeded 3-star & 4-star hotels rates ! more

Please do not push for price control. It has been tried and failed.Only free market, exposing the bad practices will help fix this. They tried price fixing in USA and it has done nothing. more
In some hospitals there are two types of specialist consultations. One is in premium OPD whereas other is in general OPD. In the premium OPD, specialist fee is much higher than the general OPD but he spends slightly more time with the patient. In the general OPD same specialist fee is less but he provides consultation like a machine consultation spending just a minute or two with the patient. Within two hours of his OPD session he provides consultation to about 40-50 patients. I wonder if this is ethical and Income Tax authorities are able to collect the corresponding income tax. more
Govt have joint venture with them. They have failed health insurance and made treatment of the people is business and too costly. so humanity is totally letting down. Do worry it is started and situation is getting out of the hand of Government. If government is honest tell them do treatment only on CGHS rates and it should be applicable strongly to all pvt hospitals for the treatment of the people thanks more
That's a common experience in every private hospitals in India. I lost my husband in Medica Hospital in Kolkata whose extracted all the insurance money from my son and gave us back my husband's dead body. more
Big news in papers, one hospital in Dist head quarters of Telangana has charged abnormal amounts from a women, on the ground she had pregnency. The same women got it checked at Hyderabad, it's found no pregnency. There are no inspections & checks on Hospitals, the reasons are well known, the authority of inspections of BUREAUCRACY is CORRUPT, the local politicians make it CORRUPT. more
