Biotique profiteering

Kindly see everyone how biotique is profiteering with consumers. Product manufactured in 2017 feb and 2018 june have same MRP of 135 despite 10% GST rate reduction in cosmetics.

All members in these circles must raise this issue when they see such practices.

The price of product should be MRP 120 or so. more

Frequent changes in GST rate is responsible for this.GST rate is as per the manufacturing date of the product and till that lot is sold MRP will remain the same. more
Unlikely that Biotique is profiteering. Good consumer brands are aware of the cost of brand image creation and how easily it can be tarnished. Remember Maggi noodles gotala? Turned out to be incorrect. more
What was the date of the amazon image you had posted? I just visited Amazon now and checked the price; and it says Rs 125/200 ml for same product! May be some in Amazon is carefully watching your posts and take immediate action!! more
This should be a wake up call for the GST committee more
I am afraid it will ever! Just as a theft in my house will not wake up police till I report to them, NAA also waits for end users, like us, to report such incidents to them thru their web site. They do take actions on complaints received very transparently. Details of actions taken on complaints till now are posted on their web site. more
A product price once printed continues to be the same till it is sold. But the wholesaler or retailers have no scope to correct the same. It is better to print the GST rate near the MRP, so that it is prominent and the seller can be held responsible. more
Yes, u r right. Printed values cannot be altered.

But what matters is sale price. If MRP is printed when GST on that product was at x% and later reduced to x-5%, sale price must be down to that extent!

When filing GST, every Seller files details of raw materials purchased by them and if there has been an increase in raw material prices, GST is fully aware of these. Whenever a complaint is received by NAA, they do take into account all these factors before awarding final judgement. more
