BJP Govt in Haryana Proposes Including Gita in School Syllabus. Is this secularism or anarchy ?

To discuss this issue, first we need to understand, What is democracy? Somebody had said it is more than 2 wolves and 1 sheep voting on what to have on dinner. Wolves will ask for sheep to sacrifice and give life for them. it is no democracy. Wolves should eat grass along-with sheep irrespective of their food habit. it is democracy (at least in India). Or till this point it was. Call it minority appeasement or by whatever name! but we are/were doing this for so many years in the name of secularism. But there can be a way where 2 different societies stay together. Being majority doesn't mean that it should crush minority and it also doesn't mean that majority should bow to minority and grant every wish of them. we should live our life as per our cultural choices. Of course when our choices contradict, majority should have say. That is democracy. Majority may grant such choices to minority or they may keep it for them. Thats what democracy stand for. That is the right of majority. So be it Geeta or Ram Mandir or any issue of contention, can't we think right way! if majority of population is inclined to have it let it be so. more
Bhawat Gita is not a religious book, it talks about many management principals. when I was the President of Salem Productivity Council during 1983-85 we wanted to integrate management Principals and some of the verses of Bhawat Gita for Management Curriculum. Political parties have used to this topic to create religious enmities for their illusion of conflict of religious belief. I call it as a human science and it is applicable to all ages and it is universal. more
There are many many management pundits, who have clearly agreed unanimously that the best management principles lie in Gita. I do not understand why should any public oppose a government doing a good job in inculcating the same in school syllabus. Even today, I cite instances of Gita and Mahabaratha in my management class. WE have abundance of wealth in social and management and life values in our Gita, Ramayana and other books. Why not we follow them atleast to a fair extent. Our friends have already highlighted the rights benefits of following GITA. thanks more
Going "over secular" will result in us loosing our identity...there are 57 islamic countries in the world and all of them are islamic republic of xyz and not secular countries....the so called secular countries are suffering from "radical terrorist" problems...India is also one of such countries suffering with extremist's problems....When was the word secular introduced in our constitution?Working for all sects of society is good and must be done but not at the cost of loosing our identity.....Do you want India to be ruled by ISIS? We only teach secular values in govt run schools but what about Madarsas ?Do they also teach secular values?No...Not at all... If the trend continues one section of society will continue to be pro religion and the other will be secular...This also already started showing its effects... I strongly support the move by the Haryana govt......but at the same time suggest that the govt should work for all sections of society.. more
1. Gita en-lights the requisites of human Candidature of all the Fields and Capacities . 2. Gita arise and empowers the hidden Human Expertise . 3. Gita up-lifts mankind and the ways of helping nature . 4. Gita brings-up awareness in each Candidature ; Society ; and the Sovereignty to adopt precautions and prevention . 5. Gita endows the requisite and fit personality Development which ever keeps away intolerance , anger , shrewdness , selfishness , wicked-nature , crookedity and prompts the perfect and appropriateness in a single thought . IT IS NOT EASY TO EXPLAIN ABOUT THE SUBJECT OF GITA BUT PRECISELY COVERS THE ABOVE THAT ARE REQUIRED FOR A COMMON HUMAN-BEING TO EMPEROR the gist of which is covered in thousands of books in the international language starting from conduct to administer. more
