are now saying that tobacco does not cause cancer. Pls someone ask them to look in the mirror when they say that. Based on the poll by RP Gupta in Transform India 90% India says ban gutkha pan India. Do it Modi ji and show you have the courage. more

Our Law makers,MP's and MLA's, who are role Models of our young generation thinks themselves that there is no equal to them on this earth. They are appointed in the Parliament committees, for example dealing with health n environment, which relates with their business and they first do not deny to become the member knowing well that they are the interested party. They issue statements like tobacco is not a source of cancer where as all over the world it has been established that tobacco is a source of cancer. These people degrade our country's reputation in the international arena. The feel proud is making such statements. We hope our Hon'ble Prime Minister will look into this matter and take corrective measures and remove such MP's from the committees where they have interest. more

Even just chewing unadulterated supari causes oral cancer. It first leads to a condition called submucosal fibrosis which then develops into oral cancer. Tobacco is definitely harmful but even supari chewing is not completely harmless. more

Gutka is different than Tobacco. , In Pan Beetal Nuts( SUPARI) used in the Shops are all adulterated . Adulteration of any Kind must be Checked at first hand . more

Yes, the easiest thing that the government can do to improve the health of Indians is to control tobacco use. Increase taxes, put warnings, stop sale of loose tobacco etc. must be done. There must be no abeyance in doing all this. Else the future of this country and the economic growth that might happen due to our demographic dividend will all be in abeyance if the health of people is not ensured. If Indians are not healthy then the our engine for developing the nation will be absent! more
