Book PVR for profiteering
If I am not mistaken earlier there was high entertainment tax. Now Gst is only 18% but ticket prices have not seen any reductions.
I urge all members to share an ecopy of any tickets purchased at a PVR in the past 3 years.
I believe they will be booked for hundreds of crores of profiteering if all sales since rate reduction is considered.

Prices of movie tickets at multiplexes are generally not fixed and generally there is a price cut ranging from 30% to 60% from Monday to Thursday. Therefore, it is advisable to enjoy the movies during this period avoiding Friday to Sunday and other public holidays. more

Going for a picture is no more poor man's entertainment.Tickets and snacks both are very very high.It has become more of a profit then a reasonable business. more

When the argument that GST will reduce price to consumers as double taxation is avoided. I have warned that Indian business will increase the cost itself to match the price under GST. And it has come true. May be for this anti profiteering authority was introduced. But they could have started suo motu action by comparing rates on their own. At least they can do it in their extended period of existence. Movie tickets is a clear case. more
