Booking Failure and Fare charged to Bank A/c.
Even though the website gives options i) to select berth ii) do not book if selected berth is not available or iii) at least one or two selected berths are not available.
My point of consideration is that when so much option is available then why booking amount is deducted from passenger's account even though transaction stands as "FAILED".
Why the site does not informs the passenger that selected options are not available and whether he/she should like to continue or cancel the transaction before fare is charged to his/her account.
Just now I was booking ticket and blocked Rs.2080/- due to this snag.
Only third time I was successful.
I request IRCTC to upgrade it software and do the needful on a priority basis. more
