Poor nation such as India has been, should have adopted breastfeeding. Breast milk contains, apart from nutrition, also the necessary immunity builders necessary to save the infants life, and also important in full brain development. Breastfeeding acts as a contraceptive too. Mother child bonding strengthens with breastfeeding. Human milk being converted to powder is cathartic since about 50 years back formula milk was promoted amongst rural women by foreign companies having industrial level productions needing international markets for there scale of operations. Breastfeeding a natural feeding system got supplanted by this artificial one. Good that awareness happening regarding nature's benefits, through breastfeeding. more
India is not poor. People in India made it poor, as they get free education, food and once complete education leave country and work abroad with out thinking how much Indias spend for them and then complain India is poor sitting abroad. Atleast those people who studied free should pay back to India when they feel India is poor. 99% of people in India is brestfeeding. Only those in Cities dont do breastfeed thinking it new fashion. more
