BREATHING IS THE BRIDGE BETWEEN BODY AND MIND:
Human body has lots of activities, all classified into, namely Voluntary and Involuntary actions.
Voluntary action is produced with the involvement of thoughts, and ordered from brain, actions like walking, eating, jumping and running.
Some functions are involuntarily performed, such as BREATHING, digestion, heart beating, eye reflexes, etc.,
BREATHING IS SOME THING UNIQUE.ITS ACTION IS INVOLUNTARY AS WELL AS VOLUNTARY. That is it can go on even when are not aware (like sleeping, even in Coma) and Breathing can be controlled by thoughts.
As we are able to control Breathing it turns out to be a Bridge between the Mind and Body. For example Pranayama and any Breathing Practices. USE THIS BRIDGE TO THE BEST WHILE DEALING WITH THE STRESS.
HOW? Just follow the breath entering the nostril into the nasopharynx, Pharynx, Bronchial tubes and right up to the Alveoli if possible. The same way while exhaling also. WILL IT NOT TRAIN OUR MINDS TO CONCENTRATE ON BREATHING, SETTING ASIDE OTHER THOUGHTS?
In public speaking to get the butterflies off the tummy trainers always advise the trainees to take a deep breath. We are also advised to take a deep breath and pause before making decisions or taking actions while being angry and disturbed. By following the Breath in and out from the nose we go one step ahead concentrating over a period of time.
