Bribe at police stations
Now a days, seeking bribe by police at police stations have become common. This makes people hesitant to visit police station unless the issue has become very serious.
I feel, people should be allowed file police complaint online so that face to face interaction between police and complainant can be avoided. more

Let us examine as to why police is considered as the most corrupt organisation after revenue department and who all are responsible far it.Some of the reasons as I feel are enumerated below:- (a) Faulty selection system. (b) Very poor and greedy leadership. (c) Very poor training with obsolete arms and equipment . (d) Poor service conditions. (e) Political interference. (f) No accountability of IPS/PPS officers. (g) No fixed tenures of SHO's/Circle Officers and of Supdt Police. (h)Employment of police personnel in protection duties of corrupt and criminal Politicians. (i) No safeguards provided to police personnel and their families during service & after retirement. (j) Inadequate welfare. (k) Acute shortage of personnel. (l) Employment of home guards far policing duties. (m) Egoist Politicians/bureaucrats. I dare compliment our police personnel who inspite of above listed reasons still deliver. Why should we not blaim the individuals who bribe the police and far what reasons? We as a Nation should learn to accept our mistakes before we point it in others. Ravi Gaur more

I agree to an online complaint system. The administration should take ownership to take action on the complaints and transparently communicate the same to the community. more

Absolutely to the point. An online complaint booking system is required but we will face the same issue like the government websites, no one responds or no confirmation page. How do we address that! more

I agree with Mr. Nagraj that on line complaint system will be more helpful than going to police station to lodge a complaint. It will reduce the bribery if senior officers take a note to the online complaint. more
