Bribery around filing FIRs
What is Delhi Police doing to eliminate bribery that goes on for filing an FIR.
Why cant this process be made online or a clear set of rules defined for filing an FIR and when one simply cannot file an FIR.
Crooks and people with evil intentions by bribing police are able to file illegitimate FIRs while the common man struggles and even when he has a legitimate case, ends up paying.
Let us work on stopping this menace. more

It is not the case that the police does not register the FIR after taking bribe from the accused. In most of the cases, they expect from the victim before filing the FIR. The need is that the senior officers have a frequent surprise check in the police stations under their charge, enquire from all the people sitting there while assuring/ensuring them full protection. They should get full facts of each person there i.e. why they are there, since when, what have they paid to the police personnel etc. I am sure that quite a few cases with sincere intent and results will be a great deterrent for others and there can be a great success. However, a clean system would not be possible in the near future because of the greed factor and the political system. more

Police get money from accused for not filing FIR, beside salary. that go to top bosses , though Apex Court has directed Police to file cognizable report with out fail but they make it non cognizable . by leaving some instance ,before Independence it was not there . till 1962 in U P , police officers of the rank of DySP/ ACP used to report complaint as a decoy complainant , but now it has been removed , Criminals are having a hay day in the Republic India more

Dilli police.....Dilli police this song on FM is meaningless unless something concrete is done at the ground level. Senior police officers should come out of their air conditioned offices and make surprise checks in the city rather than dealing with the files alone. Incognito field visits will motivate the junior constables on beat duty. A city of the size of Delhi deserves better police set up. Let the common citizen feel safe in Delhi. more

nothing works with Delhi police. i am chasing them for one year as my driver made an accident and paid money to have a wrong FIR. This does not harm me, but wrong is wrong . wrote to commissioner and every one , I guess corruption is very strong . more
