Shri Shishir Kant Ji, I agree 100% on inefficiencies built in the system. We ourselves are also responsible for bearing the brunt of inefficiency. The State Electricity Regulatory Commissions have laid down the benchmark of the services and penalties thereof payable in case of failure to comply with. The problem is that we have failed to assert claims on those penalties. Even though the penalties are payable automatically for many violations but as you appreciate nothing works on its own. Once we consumers ensure penalty is invoked, the consumer will start feeling a change. The other flip side is we always rely on belling the cat by someone else. I offered my assistance to Faridabad residents for a relief against the woes of electricity company. Not even a single complaint was received despite offering absolute free assistance. I know many consumers are paying to clerks for getting things done the prominent being correction in the bills. more  

Virmani ji I am regularly following up but you might have realised that the inefficiencies built in the system over a time can not be changed and that too when many people do not wish to morally support even the right things. You may be aware that the Regulators and Law Enforcing Mechanism work under the guidance of our learned so called public leaders as they may cause any sort of nuisance. more  

@ Shri shishir Kant Ji, I feel our sitting bcak quietly after lodging complaint is the main reason of such a poor quality system. Unless we ensure compliance of the regulations, the system cannot be improved upon. We definitely have right to question the service providers for not meeting the regulatory framework on quality of services which also includes timely redressal of complaints. more
