No need for concessions in tatkal tickets. Tatkal tickets are meant for an emergency travel. Therefore it applies to all the passengers. No masti like quota, refunds, senior cittizens concessions etc..... A person who remain undecided even for the last six hours GOD bless them. A person who buy tickets in tatkal either should travel or made to pay to the railways. Limits for No. of tickets to be booked is perfect in place. No need for a change. This will ensure that all gets an opportunity to have their confirmed tickets. If no limit then any one will book tickets for the whole BARAT for the wedding. Before Expecting a trained and accessible RPF & GRP personnel at stations and platforms the passengers must observe the discipline and decorum. No overcrowding at platforms in the form relatives & friends coming to just drop and give send off. I have seen some times 3 to 4 passengers are traveling and 10 persons are visiting at stations to drop and see them off. why ? Show the airports like discipline and you will get the similar facility. more
I think passenger focus is fine but track renewal and upgradation needs money allocation. There is urgent need to improve safe running of trains at faster speed. Train punctuality is also important. these are core jobs for railways. We need more automation for train running and signalling than at present for all this. more
Concessions should also be grated to Senior Citizens in TatKal Tickets. 50% of refunds should also be given in such tickets. Do the Sr.Citizens need not move in urgency? Why they are not given the concessional tickets like ordinary tickets in which they are entitled. Pensioners/Sr. citizens are not all economically in a sound position. Rather they are an economically weaker section. I fail to understand, why they deprived of such facilities. What % of these people make movement ! more
higher train frequency can transport more passengers a day more
