Budget related aam aadmi issues
Earlier pre Covid I remember LC Manager used to do budget surveys which would then be escalated to Finance Minister. Why has LocalCircles stopped this exercise?
We as people should demand changes in 80C. The investment limit of INR 150,000 needs to be made 300,000 minimum.
Also the Government should make no taxes till taxable income of INR 10 lakhs.

may be old system will be scrapped with this budget but then taxable limit should be raised to 8 lacs( which is what Govt declared as EWS for reservation more

When a person drawing pension of Rs.50000 to 80000.00 + perks p.m. why he should not pay income tax ? He can afford daroo and 2 leg pcs daily but can't pay income tax of Rs.3000-5000 p.m. Funds are needed for development, feeding have nots and .eating every increasing cost of governance. Many States are spending 62-85% of revenue on salaries n pensions, 30% on interest, and 25% on subsidies/ freebies. Raising loans to meet the deficit. Unless the governments curtail cost of governance and wasteful expenditure, there is no space for reduction in taxes. Instead many States are increasing VAT on petroleum products, electricity, stamp duty etc. to mop up revenue to pay salaries n pensions, forget about development. more

In IT filing still too many clauses remain. I think, it should be that if the income crosses Rs10 Lakhs after deducting Providend Fund and Insurance (Life and Medical) contributions, tax slabs should be fixed at 3 or 4% straight. No other clauses. This can be deducted at source. Even now filing is a big hazzle. This must be simplified. The punishment for evading tax should be made more severe and instant till such time people are disciplined enough to declare their income and pay taxes honestly. Because paying tax goes for a lot of community, society and development work. more

Actually the 80C is not available now with the NEW system. For revision of IT Rates, please contact directly the Finance Minister or even the PM. No need to wait for LC. more

There must be only one slab rates, unlike present of OLD and NEW. The new slab rates can be scrapped. Only old slab rates adding more relaxations in that: 1. Standard deduction as existing 2. Exemption under 80C savings can be increased to 3 lacs 3. No tax upto taxable income of Rs. 10 lacs more
