The amount is naturally large and as you say can be put to use for several other projects. We should however, not forget that like an enthused Individual, an enthused Nation can achieve much more. This project when commissioned will convince the nation that we are second to none and everyone will have the confidence and hope greater than what we have today. That is what is going to work. -Bullet trains could bring new technology and improve indigenous design, development and manufacturing of train engines and passenger compartments. It could help increase speed of other trains, reduce travel time and improve trade. more

Importing so much costly infrastructure which is only useful for rich businessmen of Gujrat can never be justified. This is hard earned money of common public of India since businessmen never pay a correct tax and generates black money. Such acts makes our country more & more poor. Surely modi can never win the heart of common people of India again. more

A country which is trying hard to have toilet, driving water, electricity, schools, hospitals, roads, food, education and poverty should have so costly project under it's priority list. One must ponder. more
