Business Premises in Residential Society

Is there any rule which prohibits renting our your house in a cooperative housing society to business establishments more

If the land use is residential, the properties can only be rented out to proffessionals and that one needs to pay conversion charges for the same . more

Normally such premises are for residential purposes & business is not to be conducted from residential premises within the Housing societies.There are also stringent laws/articles etc in place & are applicable to members that prevent one to conduct such activity from such premises.Better check the articles from Society record. more

CGHS housing is only for residential purpose. Only commercial component can be what is legally prescribed for residential accommodations - doctors / CA etc. Renting out to business establishment is definitely not allowed. For details, you can read the agreement that you signed with the society. more
