Businesses conducting frauds via Input Tax Credit

Businessmen in Rohini, New Delhi via a set of companies conducted an input tax credit fraud of over 200 crores by issuing fake invoices between companies. fraudulen issuance of inputs tax credit was done without actual supply of goods.

Wondering how much of this is happening with small entrepreneurs and also wondering if this is caught how much can gst and income tax be reduced by. more
