Thanks for ur feedback Mr Virmani. Yes i do make sure the mobilemeter/gps is switched on at the start of the journey. I had called the call centre at the conclusion of the journey, when the fare meter showed up the astronomical amount! Altho' i was required as per the faremeter/mobile to make payment of the "balance amount" to the taxi driver, i did not pay any. The driver had that much sense thankfully. Lastly, what i had mentioned in my earlier post, was the content of the email ipsofacto that i had sent to the TFS!! It was infact the reminder!! Perhaps i too should upload that mail on FB?? more  
Dear Mr. Balachandran, I too had also faced the problem regarding registering of km reading. The driver had not set the mobile at the time of boarding. The complaint was made by email and refund of excess money was received by cheque in about a week's time. Whenever we board any taxi we need to ensure that driver sets the mobile at the time of boarding. In your case you can also demand GPS report from TFS and I would suggest instead of calling their call centre, please do communicate with them through email. more  
This has been reported in the TOI today!! And that is not all!! TFS CHEATS AND SHAMELESSLY TOO!! HERE IS WHY - 1. On Wednesday 27th May I travelled from S Block, Uppal Southend, Sector 49, Gurgaon to Huda City Centre Metro station. Time of travel in the afternoon at 2.15 pm, by taxi no DL-01-YE-1621 (Sedan), driver Vicky. I paid Rs 143.00 deducted from my wallet. Receipt No TFS – PP- C19059025 received by email. 2. That same night at around 9.15pm I travelled by taxi no DL-01-RT-1092 (Hatchback), driver, Satender, from Huda City Centre metro station ( shown as Max Hospital, Sushant Lok in the receipt) to Uppal Southend, S Block, Sector 49. At the completion of the journey I received an sms on my registered mobile informing that the amount payable was Rs 846.00, that a sum of Rs 472.00 has been paid from the wallet, and that I should pay the balance amount directly to the driver !!!. The driver himself acknowledged that the fare reading was incorrect, and suggested that I should lodge a complaint there and then. 3. I called the call centre and did so. I was informed that the complaint has been lodged, and that there would be response within 48 hrs at the latest. 4. I have since received receipt no TFS-PP-C19121527 by email for Rs 866.00 ( there is no rationale apparent for the extra Rs 20.00 added to Rs 845.79 recorded on my mobile ) 5. There has been no response from TFS so far. 6. On 31st May around noon, I have lodged another complaint. Ms Himani at the call centre received the call, and has informed me that the complaint will be attended to today, and that I should expect a call back from TFS this evening. 7. As on the 1st June, I have received no acknowledgement from the TFS on this matter. 8. The relief demanded is the immediate return to my online wallet on the TFS app of Rs 472.00 the balance as it existed before I undertook this journey. A sum not existing Rs 143.00 at the maximum can be deducted for that journey – of 9 kms stretch – and the balance returned to my wallet and that I be notified accordingly. 9. In case this is not resolved to my satisfaction within 48 hrs at the latest, I shall send a copy of this mail/complaint to the print media with a request to give it wide publicity. 10. ANOTHER REMINDER TO TAXI FOR SURE WAS SENT ON 23RD JUNE - THAT TOO HAS REMAINED UNACKNOWLEDGED. Trip Bill Powered by: Hi N.Balachandran, thanks for riding with us.
